Enrolment options

This course refreshes your knowledge and skills by combining harness use and the selection, installation, use and disestablishment of height safety equipment to set up fit for purpose height safety systems. We also cover ladder risks, scaffolding, man cage and EWP use while working at heights. The course is mostly scenario based to ensure the student refreshes on his knots, rope use and fall arrest devices.

 

NZQA units standards refreshed
  • 23229: Use safety harness system when working at heights
  • 15757: Use, install and disestablish temporary proprietary fall arrest systems when working at height
  • 17600: Explain safe work practices for working at heights
  • 25045: Employ height safety equipment in the Workplace

 

ENTRY CRITERIA:
  • Students that refresh the unit standards must hold the current unit standards or at least one of the units.
  • Numeracy and Literacy: All students must have the ability to write, speak and understand basic English to complete the assessments.
